Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics is on the road to recovery, but it’s a long and slow one.

Tatum is getting honest about how hard the last several months have been.

According to him, the beginning of his rehabilitation process was incredibly difficult and unlike anything he has experienced before.

“That first 6 weeks was probably the toughest six weeks of any point in my life,” Tatum said, via Fullcourtpass.

Tatum is just three months into his recovery, and it will take much longer than that before he’s back at 100 percent.

He wants to be on the court with the rest of his team, but he knows he will be viewing them from the sidelines in 2025-26.

That’ll be tough for him, because he is Boston’s most important player and has been a centerpiece of their success over the last few years.

Tatum will need to remain resilient in the new season because the chances of him coming back before the end of 2025-26 are slim.

A serious injury like this takes months to get through, and Tatum will probably miss the entire year with Boston.

The Celtics have been making moves to get by without Tatum, but the road ahead won’t be easy for them either.

They have been employing cost-cutting strategies to bring in enough talent to keep them afloat throughout the 2025-26 season.

Where will they be when Tatum is finally ready to play again?

Tatum has pushed through some dark days, and he will have to keep his sights set on the future.

His career isn’t over, and it’s just taking a brief break.

That is tough for someone as competitive as him.
