LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> is the most accomplished NBA player of all time, but is he the best shooter?<\/p>\n

Austin Rivers has an opinion about that and shared it recently.<\/p>\n

It is sure to raise eyebrows.<\/p>\n

He thinks that James is the best jumpshooter he\u2019s ever been, but he doesn\u2019t consider him the best scorer.<\/p>\n

Instead, he thinks Kevin Durant is better than James.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeBron is number one [in scoring], but his game doesn\u2019t match a prototypical scorer. It\u2019s also not sexy. LeBron\u2019s game is built on force, sheer will, dedication, his mind, his IQ, the way he is able to dissect and control a game, and power, above anything else. He wills himself to the basket. Now, you have to give the guy credit. As he\u2019s gotten older, he\u2019s become a better jumpshooter. It\u2019s crazy that he\u2019s going to retire the best jumpshooter he\u2019s ever been\u2026For instance, LeBron has scored more points than Kevin, but Kevin can score in a much bigger variety of ways than LeBron,\u201d Rivers said, via NBACentral.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Austin Rivers says the best scorers he\u2019s seen are KD, Harden, Kobe, MJ, and Iverson, and claims LeBron doesn\u2019t have half of Durant\u2019s bag<\/p>\n

Rivers might not think James is the best scorer, but he certainly listed a ton of features to respect about him.<\/p>\n

He doesn\u2019t feel that James\u2019 style of scoring is \u201csexy,\u201d but it gets the job done, and the Lakers are very happy with how he produces on the court.<\/p>\n

And no one will argue against James\u2019 will, dedication, and mindset.<\/p>\n

Even if he isn\u2019t the best scorer, it\u2019s clear that James is an NBA player unlike many others.<\/p>\n

He has a deep bag that comes with many different tools that he can use.<\/p>\n

And as he gets older, he is focusing on new areas of his game, such as his jump shots and assists.<\/p>\n

This is allowing him to play after 40 years old and ensures that he is still helping the Lakers a lot, even as he grows older.<\/p>\n

Sexy or not, James can score and, perhaps more importantly, he can lead.<\/p>\n
